What is the LMS? LMS is an acronym for Learning Management System. It is an automated system that can streamline the training process, allow access to training tools, track the training history of all Cumberland/Gulf employees and offer a common location for employees to register for classes and web-based training.

Why Should I Use the LMS? The LMS offers a consolidated training platform that benefits employee career development. Employees can use the LMS to find and register for training, track their training, and manage their career training goals. When you use the LMS, your training records reside in one system that is accessible to you at any time.
 
What is Learning History? Every employee will have a training transcript. The training transcript will capture all completed training and completed learning activities in the Learning Management System. 
 
What is a learning plan? Learning Plans act as a container of learning items. Learning Plans are any combination of training items ranging from assignments, to learning activities, to web based training and instructor-led training.  Learning Plans can also include assessments and surveys.
